  • What does BINT EL JIRAN mean?
    BINT EL JIRAN means the "Girl Next Door" or quite literally, means "The Neighbor's Daughter". It is a phrase that is used in Arabic and we feel it is a fitting description of what our company is and we look forward to welcoming you to the neighborhood :)
  • Are your products eco-friendly or vegan?
    We are in fact an eco-friendly and vegan company that takes pride in sourcing materials that can be reused, repurposed and recycled. We have tried are best to make this possible from our products to our packaging and even our shipping supplies. At the moment, the lids to our candle jars are plastic, but can be reused. As well, we do have a silicon plug for our reed diffuser to help our products arrive leak proof so you can enjoy them and reseal if you need to. We use all natural coconut wax for a clean, consistent burn. The custom fragrance blends are natural essential oils and/or non-toxic synthetic oils. We are constantly trying to come up with more ways to make a positive impact on our carbon footprint and we hope our efforts are being noticed as you enjoy our products.
  • Do you have a Store Location?
    We are based out of Los Angeles, California, but at the moment are only selling online. We hope to one day expand and put some roots down for a brick and morter and will definitely be sure to let everyone know once we do.
  • Can I add a gift note?
    Totally! When you check out, make sure you click on the "ADD A NOTE" section. Let us know you are gifting your order and feel free to include your message in this section as well. If for some reason you miss this step, feel free to reach out to us at and we will try our best to see what we can do, but there is no guarantee unfortunately. We are currently working on a way to adjust this so our customers can add a note/gift message after the fact, but it is difficult to correct once an order is already processed.
  • Can I include a gift receipt?
    We understand that a majority of our orders are meant as gifts for friends and family, so we ensure that no financial information is included on the invoice so that your recipient won't know any sort of cost for the item :)
  • I entered the wrong shipping address! Can I change it?
    If this happens, please contact us IMMEDIATELY at so that we can do our best to correct this before orders are packaged and shipped out. Unfortunately, if an order has already been shipped we cannot change it. Your package will be shipped via UPS so you can request a redirect, although this may cause you to incur an additional fee. BINT EL JIRAN is not responsible for mis-delivered packages if the wrong shipping address, and we're unable to make changes on our end. If you need to change a shipping address after an order has been placed please reach out to UPS to facilitate your request.
  • My order arrived damaged or broken. Help!
    If your order arrives damaged or broken, please contact us immediately at so that we can better assist you. In your email, please include your order #, name on the order and what item(s) are damaged or broken with photo documentation so that we can assist you quicker.
  • What are the wholesale minimums and requirements?
    We currently sell our BINT EL JIRAN Home Scents in case packs of 12 per scent. Currently we are unable to split case packs for this discounted rate. Opening orders for wholesale is a minimum of three (3) case packs with shipping included (domestic US only). **All varieties must be purchased by their case pack quantity - Candles (12 pack), Reed Diffuser (12 pack), Maamoul Melts (12 pack)** Orders To open an account with us, please email: so we can get started. Be sure to tell us a little about your store so that we can get to know our retail partners. Shipping The price of shipping is not included in our wholesale pricing. Orders will ship 2-3 days after order placement unless otherwise stated in the product description. We select the quickest, most economical shipping method available for each area. Expedited shipping is available for an additional fee. Returns BINT EL JIRAN does not accept returns for unsold product or overstock unless in the case of product that is damaged upon arrival. Please notify us immediately and include photographs of the damage so we can get that taken care of right away. Brick and Mortar Only We only accept retail partners that have a physical brick and mortar location. We do not currently allow wholesale orders for e-commerce, online stores or marketplaces. BINT EL JIRAN Home Scents are not allowed to be resold online by third parties. We do not offer exclusivity on any of our wholesale accounts. About Our Home Scents BINT EL JIRAN Home Scents are custom blends made by us. Our scents are uniquely our own. We offer them in 8 oz glass jars for our Candles, 4 oz glass diffuser sets and in our Maamoul Melt tins. Each scent is perfectly crafted to bring back those nostalgic memories of the Middle East. We use all natural coconut wax for a clean, consistent burn. The custom fragrance blends are natural essential oils and/or non-toxic synthetic oils. Our premium cotton wicks are lead free and the candles are paraben, petroleum and phthalate free. The average burn time is between 50-60 hours. All our of packaging is eco-friendly, reusable and/or recyclable.
  • What forms of payment do you accept?
    We accept all major credit cards at this time and Apple Pay - we do not, however, accept: cash, check, Venmo, Bitcoin, or money orders.
  • Why was my order canceled?
    Although this rarely occurs, we will occasionally cancel orders under the suspicion of fraud. We have metrics in place to protect all of our customers and if flags are raised, an order cancellation may be necessary. If this does occur, we will contact you immediately with an explanation. BINT EL JIRAN reserves the right to cancel any order.
  • How long does shipping take?
    Similar to most online businesses, we’re experiencing some delays here at BINT EL JIRAN with many customers purchasing gifts for the holidays. Make sure to enter your shipping information during checkout to see your available shipping options and rates. During the current season, we expect most orders to be processed within 1-3 business days. You’ll receive a tracking link as soon as your order ships. Rest assured, we’re working hard to deliver your order as soon as possible. Domestic Shipping: Our standard shipping typically takes anywhere from 2-7 business days. International Shipping: We do not have International Shipping available in check out, but please feel free to contact us at if you would like to place an order.
  • My tracking number isn't working!
    Don't worry! All packages take up to 24 hours to update as the carrier needs to receive the package and update it within their system after it's picked up, so it's likely your package will update by the end of the day. If there's any outstanding issues after 48 hours please contact us and we'll look into the situation.
  • My package was lost/stolen!!!
    We ship with one of the most reliable carriers, UPS. Once the package has left our hands, BINT EL JIRAN cannot be held accountable for lost, stolen or mis-delivered packages, but we want you to have the best possible experience with our company! Please contact the UPS and see if they have any insight. If they are unable to assist, please email us at so we can work with you to resolve this.
  • Do you offer international shipping?
    We currently do not offer international shipping at check out. If you are interested in purchasing from us but live outside the United States, please feel free to contact us at and we will let you know your options.
  • My order qualified for free shipping but the cart still has a shipping cost?
    We currently offer free shipping once your cart total (before taxes) reaches $150 USD. If you apply a discount, this may reduce your subtotal to the point where you are disqualified from free shipping; in some cases you may save more with your discount compared to free shipping, so make sure to double check so that you get the best deal possible!
  • How can I return or exchange my order?
    Due to COVID-19, we are not accepting returns at the moment. However, if there is an issue with your order, we encourage you to contact us at so that we can better assist you and resolve any issues you may have encountered with your order.
  • What if my order arrived damaged?
    We take every precaution to ensure your products arrives to you as quickly and safely as possible, however on rare occasion, breakage does occur in transit. If this has happened, please send us an email at with the following: Photos of the packaging and product if possible Quantity of broken items order number (ex. #0000) We will send a replacement ASAP. Please ask for a refund OR a replacement if you feel your item has a manufacturer defect. Please follow the steps above so we can solve your issue as quickly as possible.
